Up for a Little One on One?
This post has nothing to do with basketball but if you are going to be a championship caliber marketer today you have to embrace the idea of “one on one” marketing. Ask yourself, “who are your best customers” and if your answer is full of demographic and psychographic data, you’re in trouble. With the emergence of social media you should know who your best customers are by name. Yes, first name, last name, where they live, what they like about you and who their friends are. You should be testing new products on them, getting testimonials and encouraging them to tell others about you.
Technology now allows for brands to have a conversation with its customers, fans and supporters. If all you are doing is talking AT your customers … STOP! Start engaging in conversations with them and you will learn plenty about “why” people buy from you. You may be surprised about what they have to say.
